Jewelry Designer Vicente Agor’s recently launched fine silver line is on tour. The collection, dubbed seventynine47, will grace Houston May 1st and 2nd at a Trunk Show held at the Cotton Club. Agor, who is known for his pieces in 18 karat gold, invokes fine silver as a medium in this new collection. seventynine47 is also said to include white sapphires as opposed to diamonds (which were used in his signature line). Little touches of gold, and Agor’s usual artistic insight, give the new jewelry a luxurious air while the silver and sapphire combinations make these items relatively more affordable. Agor’s entire 18 karat gold collection, as well as some of his Fall/Winter ‘09 collection, will accompany the new seventynine47 pieces in

Houston and at a few similar shows across the country. The San Francisco based designer is sure to please with this new direction, as he has in the past. The former investment executive has received many an accolade since entering the jewelry arena. His works have since gained international buzz. The Trunk Show in Houston is free to attend and will take place between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. Also featured will be pieces by designer Amy Y of Amy Y Jewelry. And as for the collections name, Vicente credits the periodic table for inspiration. “The numbers 79 and 47 are the atomic numbers for gold and silver respectively”, he says. FabSavvy thinks its PURE Genius.
