Fashion For Charity Show In Miami
Fashion for Charity will host an evening of runway shows this September 17th. Founded in 2008, Fashion for Charity’s goal is to strive to raise money for non-profit organizations in need of financial support in fulfilling their own unique causes, focusing on providing assistance to children and women in the local community. Created by Diane Superville and Maria Estevez, Fashion for Charity supports these causes by organizing events and mobilizing the fashion industry to support the community through proceeds raised in doing fashion events. This year’s event will benefit both Project Start Off Smart (SOS) through the Homestead Police Department and The EDGE Charitable Foundation.
The event will begin at 7:00pm with Red Carpet arrivals, followed by a VIP cocktail reception and a silent auction. Live entertainment and over 500 expected guests means this event should have a great party atmosphere, and all for worthy causes in the name of fashion.

Fashion, Philanthropy & Striptease . . . Oh My!
Tired of attending the same ‘ol benefit fashion show? Well apparently you are not alone. Luckily the good people of Zivity are thinking outside of the box and offering a slightly more risque affair.
Benefiting an array of charities, the Zivity Presents Striptease Fashion Show And Charity Auction in San Francisco will certainly be an event to remember. Featuring designs from seven hot bay area designers, the show will treat guests to everything from Lingerie to Menswear. Let’s hope they get a good look at the clothes being modeled . . . before they are taken off. The event’s producers boast that “amazing runway models” will “strip off their clothes to the highest bidders for their favorite charities”. Now that’s giving back.
There are more than a few charitable organizations who will receive donations from the event proceeds, including the American Cancer Society and Youth Speaks.org. The VIP reception tickets are already sold out, but there are still a some general admission spots available for purchase. Helping to pull the whole event together, is Danielle Cohen of San Francisco’s award winning Missing Piece Productions. Susan Bratton, CEO of Personal Life Meida, Inc., will serve as main event emcee.

Sweet Charity
Albert Uster Imports recently hosted their 2010 Sweet Charity event. Having grown significantly since its creation in 2003, the successful event is now a popular occasion in the DC area and a big contributor to the The Heart of America Foundation’s® Books From The Heart® program.
One of the events sweetest attractions is the Des Alpes Chocolate Fashion Show, in which masterful chefs make use of Albert Uster Imports chocolate by creating chocolate fashions. The Sweet Charity website says that the use of chocolate is “a metaphor for every child’s sweetness and innate potential.” The benefiting program will use the proceeds to “replenish under-resourced libraries and classrooms in the greater Washington D.C. region.”
Between the fashion, the chocolate, and the good cause . . . this event is sure to have sweet success for years to come.
Tickle Me Pink . . . For A Good Cause
The Tickle Me Pink fashion show will be going strong once again this year. This impressive student produce show, features work from student designers from all over Texas. The event benefits Houston based Pink Ribbons Project, a local breast cancer awareness initiative. Last year, this young talent put to shame some designers old enough to be their parents. I hear it will be an even bigger event this year! If you’re in Houston come on out, Thursday April 29th, and support young local talent and a wonderful non-profit organization. See the details , here, on our Events page.
