My Black is Beautiful

The first of a few episodes aired on BET this Sunday 5/17/09.  A celebrity panel of African American Women discussed black inspired beauty trends, the definition of true beauty from a black perspective, and more. The first episode also included helpful beauty tips, including insight from Celebrity Makeup Artist Toni Acey AND a tribute to First Lady Michelle Obama. More episodes are to be run on 6/7/09 and 6/21/09. Accompanying the teleivision portion, the initiative inlcudes a tour which will culminate in New Orleans during the Essence Music Festival in early July.
